Call for Papers for the 8th Annual Academic Paper Award

 

Since 2018, the Japan Association for Medical Informatics has been conducting the selection process once a year for the Academic Paper Award as stipulated in Article 8 of the Japan Association for Medical Informatics Award Regulations.

 The purpose of the Academic Paper Award is to encourage contributions to the development of the fields of this corporation, and honor the authors of papers that have made a significant contribution to the development of academic technology in the fields of science and technology in which this corporation is involved.

In this regard, we are now inviting candidates for the 8th Academic Paper Award, as outlined below. We look forward to receiving your applications.

Application deadline: Monday, June 30, 2025 (postmark deadline for mail applications)

〇 Application conditions:
(1) The first author or corresponding author of the submitted paper must be a member of the Japan Association for Medical Informatics on the date of application for the academic paper award (including cases where an application for membership is made at the time of application and becomes a member by the time of award). )
(2) Application papers are original papers, review papers, spring academic conference papers published in the journal "Medical Informatics", or original papers, review papers, or similar papers in other Japanese or English journals. thing
(3) The submitted paper must have been published in the year prior to the application (January 1 to December 31, 2024). (If the paper was published in multiple ways, the earliest publication date will be considered the publication date.)
(4) A letter of recommendation from one or more directors or councilors (employees) of the Japan Association for Medical Informatics stating that the submitted paper is in the field of medical informatics and has content suitable for an award paper. to attach

〇 Application format: Either self-recommendation or recommendation by others is possible.

〇 Selection: The Academic Paper Award Selection Committee will conduct the selection and select up to three papers for the award. Additionally, one particularly outstanding paper from among the awarded papers will be selected for the Best Academic Paper Award.

〇 Recognition: Recognition will be given at the Medical Informatics Union Conference, and a certificate and supplementary prize will be presented.

〇 How to apply: Fill out the necessary information on the application form, include a copy of the application paper, and a letter of recommendation (one sheet of A4 paper).
